Tommy Leung

Tommy Leung is a food developer, chef, and fermentation enthusiast from Sweden. He grew up in a restauranteur family and has been working with food for the past 10 years. In 2019 Tommy co-founded HakkoBako a food-technology start-up working on making fermentation easier and more accessible for chefs. He also works as a food development consultant and has a keen interest in new plant-based foods, being one of the first in Hong Kong to offer Impossible Meats to the public. Tommy has won a number of awards for the development of foods and was named one of Sweden's top business talents. He is also the founder of frozen meal delivery service Gafell, a central kitchen delivering chef made meals to homes, restaurants, and supermarkets in Hong Kong. Tommy believes food should be delicious, uncomplicated, and enjoyable to make. He is based in Hong Kong.
